The New Jersey Institute of Technology UNITE Summer Program Brings Female Students from FEMME Academy to Picatinny Arsenal

NJITunite2018

The New Jersey Institute of Technology UNITE Summer program has been bringing female students from its FEMME Academy to Picatinny Arsenal for more than 10 years. During their July 24 visit, they talked with scientists and engineers and had a Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) lunch experience, among other activities. Funded by the U.S. Army Educational Outreach Program, and administered by the Technology Student Association, the UNITE program is designed to encourage and help prepare students to pursue college-level studies, and ultimately, careers in engineering and related STEM fields.
