Systems Engineering Directorate

We are the systems engineering experts for complex armament systems and systems of systems within the Army community. We provide a comprehensive approach to defining customer needs and implementing systems engineering on projects.

FUNCTIONS

Leverage domain expertise across SE competency areas including requirements engineering, architectural analysis and design, technical planning and technical assessment, operational and system analysis, configuration management, and product data management to ensure we provide the best quality of information on our SE products and services to our customers, keeping them aware of options and alternatives to support the decision-making process on their projects.

Structure and deliver accurate and timely systems engineering data to our customers so they can make fact-based decisions with full understanding of the associated benefits and risks.

Develop and implement cutting-edge systems engineering best practices and tools, and conduct SE training classes and workshops to grow and maintain the SE subject matter expertise necessary to provide effective and efficient SE implementation on projects.

Partner with Army leadership at RDECOM, the Army System of Systems Engineering and Integration Office (SoSE&I), and the Office of the Secretary of Defense to shape systems engineering policies and procedures and to provide the latest in SE capabilities to our customers.

Apply SE expertise to non-traditional areas, such as homeland security, to actively create partnerships beyond the lethality domain and deliver enduring value to new and existing customers.
